Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Prof. Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also has been awarded numerous national and international awards. She has worked with many organisations and governments around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are people who are victims of the law. She serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
